PostgreSQL is a powerful, open source relational database system. It has a proven architecture that has earned it a strong reputation for reliability, data integrity, and correctness. PostgreSQL compares favorably to DB2 database®, Microsoft SQL Server™ and Oracle database® in the relevant metrics yet it is free to use.
Microsoft Office Access© is a rapid application development(RAD) tool. Solutions created in Microsoft Office Access© often require much less code than other platforms. UNIREV uses Microsoft Office Access© because coupled with PostgreSQL (or some other database server) it provides an efficient, reliable, scalable and profitable platform upon which databases can be built with extreme speed. This is important because some databases are simply not worth a lot. A $40K a year business opportunity may support a $15K database solution, but a $4K a year business opportunity simply won't.
